THAYTOOL

↤ 100% NATIVE · SWIFTUI · METAL ↦
A fleet of AI agents whose terminals never die.

A terminal-first, fully-local macOS workspace manager. A background daemon owns every terminal — quit, update, or reboot, and your agents keep running.

FIG.2 — THE DAEMON
§ 01PERSISTENCE

Quit, update, or reboot — nothing stops running.

A background daemon owns every terminal. It survives app updates over Unix SCM_RIGHTS, and a reboot resumes Claude with --resume — no context lost.

PLATE 01 · LIVE WINDOW1:1
Thaytool window
Zero-downtime handoff
The daemon updates without tearing down a single terminal.
Scrollback checkpointed
History is written to disk on a fast debounce — restored on reopen, even after an OOM.
Instant tab switching
Visited tabs stay mounted — no re-attach, no replay, even with many sessions.
FIG.3 — WORKTREES
§ 02PARALLEL AGENTS

Type a task, press return, get a worktree.

Prompt-first workspaces with on-device AI branch naming. Start from a PR, a branch, or a GitHub / Linear issue — nothing leaves your Mac.

Multi-repo workspaces
One workspace can span many repos, created and torn down as one atomic unit.
.thaytool scripts
Setup runs visibly before the agent; teardown headlessly on delete. Inherits Superset / Conductor configs.
“Create more” mode
Keep the composer open and spin up several parallel workspaces back to back.

FIG.4 — AMBIENT SURFACES
§ 03AGENT AWARENESS

Agents tell you when they need you.

Claude Code hooks make status authoritative. One urgency model drives the menu bar, HUD, notifications, and pet — reply inline, never switch apps.

Menu-bar command center
Workspaces grouped by project, urgency-sorted, inline Yes / No / free-text reply.
Floating HUD · ⌥⌘Space
Always-on-top, across every Space and app. Summon from anywhere.
Auto-pop toast
Fades in top-right for ~6s when an agent needs you, with quick actions.

WAITING
Tests pass. Want me to open the PR against main?
Hover the pet for its agent’s actual last message + an inline reply. Draggable, resizable, position persists. Your ~/.codex/pets work as-is.
FIG.5 — THE REVIEW QUEUE
§ 04CODE REVIEW → AGENT

Queue diff comments, send them as one prompt.

A fast native diff with gutter comments and GitHub-style multi-line selection. Batch your notes and flush them to the agent as one prompt.

PLATE 04 · SPLIT + CHANGES1:1
Diff and changes
Anchored excerpts
Each comment captures the exact code span — context survives even for deletions.
Import GitHub threads
Pull a PR’s existing conversation into the same local queue, deduped.
PR tab · merge in-app
Live badges, checks, review threads. Squash / merge / rebase without leaving.
FIG.6 — THE BOARD
§ 05PLAN → AGENT

Plan on a board, hand cards to agents.

Todo → In Progress → Done. Cards track the live agent and carry attachments for weeks. “Done” is always your call.

PLATE 05 · KANBAN1:1

FIG.7 — THE MACHINE
§ 06LOCAL · PRIVATE · NATIVE

No cloud. No telemetry. Just your Mac.

No backend, no accounts, zero TCP ports. Every AI feature runs on-device; the one secret lives in Keychain only.

Metal renderer
Glyph-atlas GPU rendering, tmux-class smoothness. 24-bit color.
Liquid Glass UI
Real macOS 26 behind-window glass, with a Solid toggle.
11 terminal palettes
Catppuccin, Dracula, Nord… + iTerm2 / Ghostty / Kitty import.
Signed & notarized
Enforced at three gates. Sparkle 2 auto-update, never silent.
Keychain-only secrets
The one credential never touches UserDefaults or exports.
Sandboxed worktrees
Deletion refuses anything but a git-confirmed linked worktree.

FIG.9 — Q & A
§ 08FREQUENTLY ASKED

Ask the terminal. It answers honestly.

zsh — thaytool faq
thaytool faq "is this a subscription?"
No. $20, one time, updates for life. And in the WinRAR tradition, the trial never actually stops — you’ll just get a polite reminder.
thaytool faq "do my agents die when I quit the app?"
No. A background daemon owns every terminal. Quit the app, ship an update, or reboot — claude, codex and your builds keep running. Claude conversations resume with --resume.
thaytool faq "where does my code go?"
Nowhere. No cloud backend, no accounts, no telemetry, zero TCP ports. Every AI feature runs on Apple’s on-device models and fails closed. The one secret lives in Keychain only.
thaytool faq "which agents work?"
Claude Code and Codex out of the box. Any CLI agent works — the per-agent launch command is fully overridable.
thaytool faq "can I run it next to Superset?"
Yes. Fully disjoint namespaces — sockets, dirs, URL schemes, env vars. Hooks merge additively into ~/.claude/settings.json, and existing .superset / .conductor scripts run as-is.
thaytool faq "Windows or Linux?"
macOS only — Apple Silicon, macOS 26+. It’s native SwiftUI with a Metal terminal renderer, and it isn’t pretending otherwise.
◇ THE HONEST LICENSE ◇

$20. Once. The trial never actually stops.

A 40-day evaluation that — in the great WinRAR tradition — keeps working forever. We’ll just, ah, remind you. Buy it because it’s good, not because we locked your agents out. That would be rude to your agents.

REMINDER ▢ ✕
This is a 40-day evaluation copy of Thaytool. You have been evaluating for 1,290 days. It still works perfectly — but a license would make this window go away and the developer very happy.
